Description

From the stage to the screen, there are many differences that theater actors need to know in order to prepare, audition, and perform their best in front of the camera. This class combines interactive learning scenarios, mock on-camera auditions (self-tape, in-person, virtual, etc), and practical tips and tricks with fun improv exercises to give young actors hands-on knowledge of what happens "behind the scenes" and between each take! Whether you're interested in TV, commercial, or film acting, we will dive into the essentials of what-to-know to be camera ready! Open to ages 15-18 with the option of auditioning in. Some basic acting and performance experience will be helpful! Trust me, you don't want to miss this!

Feel free to check out my Instagram “Acting” highlight reel to see some of my experience with on-camera work! @karriyma

Note: This class will include an additional $20 fee for the advanced professional instruction.
Prerequisite: Basic Acting Experience & familiarity with acting terms/ concepts.

Karriyma Pekary

Actor. Singer. Dancer. Wife. Mother of 3. Lover of Jesus and all things performing arts! After almost 15 years on and behind the stage, I moved over to TV and Commercial acting (as a new mom with less free time) and for the past 5 years have unexpectedly developed a love for on-camera acting! But theater will always be my first love. Happy to be back!
