This creative and fun theatrical make-up course is designed to develop an appreciation for the skill and techniques used in designing and applying make-up in theater and teaching the basics of stage makeup. Students will have fun learning to:

Grasp the general history and evolution of the art and craft of makeup
Enhance the basic features of an actor, using theatrical makeup.
Demonstrate make-up techniques to create the look of Old Age, Villain, Glamour, and Animals.
Create realistic wounds with Special Effects (SFX) makeup applications.
Utilize facial hair applications.

Sierra Joy Lebovitz grew up in CYT Santa Cruz and is now so excited to come back again as a teacher. She began learning makeup through doing CYT shows and since the age of 6, just can’t get enough! Sierra just received two BAs in Sociology as well as a Minor in Theater from Seattle Pacific University. Sierra’s focuses include: Makeup Design, Acting, Directing, and Promotions. She can’t wait to jump back into the performing arts with all of you!
