2020.

It’s possible one number has never been able to so immediately and completely put everyone on the same page. It’s been a struggle for so many of us as individuals and for so many businesses.

Normally our letter writing campaign would be a big event, where we could all gather to write our family and friends about the things CYT has done in our lives, and in the lives of our families. Unfortunately, the realities of the current climate make that impossible.

However, we still want our kids to be able to take part in this annual event that is so important to us as we look to continue serving our community. It’s just going to look a little different this year.  There are several ways to get involved.  We have letters ready to address and personalize - just contact us and we'll get them to you.  If you want to go the DIY route, you'll find a link to a printable PDF at the bottom of this page! Once you’ve printed them out, got them written and addressed, we’ll make arrangements for you to drop off or for us to pick them up. And, lastly, if you want to go virtual, you can email the PDF below to your family and friends!  If you do go virtual, make sure you let us know about the emails you've sent!  For every 5 letters that your young person addresses, we’ll give them a $5 gift card, and we’ll put an entry into a drawing for a fun outdoor play gift basket. For the young person who writes the most letters by Giving Tuesday, we’ll have an additional $25 gift card!

You can reach out to myself (jeremy@cytsantacruz.org) or Denise (denise@cytsantacruz.org) once you have letters addressed and we’ll make arrangements to get them from you, so we can get them sealed, stamped, and in the mail. Just remember that our prizes and drawings end on Giving Tuesday (December 1st)!

We appreciate each one of you and the contribution you make to the CYT community. We are a vibrant, imaginative community because of you! We love each of you, and your young people, and thank you for helping to #keepCYTSantaCruzAlive so that we can continue to serve you, and our greater Santa Cruz community for years to come!

Thank you all,

Jeremy Couchman, Board Chair
