The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is the irresistible story of a fourteen-year-old boy growing up in the heartland of America, based on the classic novel. Filled with foot-stomping, toe-tapping songs by Don Schlitz ("The Gambler") and with a book by Ken Ludwig, this musical adventure is a tale of thrilling escapes, comedy and inspiration for the whole family.
Set in 1840 Missouri, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is the tale of young Tom Sawyer and the neverending mischief of which he so often finds himself a part; whether it's matching wits with Aunt Polly, tricking his friends into whitewashing a fence for him or narrowly escaping the clutches of a murderous villain. Along with his best friend, Huckleberry Finn, and his love interest, Becky Thatcher, the greatest Tom Sawyer exploits are plucked from the book and plopped onto the stage.
Aside from having one of the most recognizable titles from literary history, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a superb family-friendly show.

Show Notes:
Welcome to ETC Amphitheater
Welcome to our first show at Enterprise Technology Center in Scotts Valley!
Some things you should know before attending...
Outdoor Venue
Come experience the story of Tom Sawyer outside in the middle of the trees...the perfect setting for this story! There are multiple tiers of grass lawn for you to picnic and enjoy the show.
Eat, Drink, and Be Merry
Coming early to eat and picnic is both allowed and encouraged. There is a beautiful outdoor seating area near the theater for eating at, and once the seating is open, you are welcome to bring your food in as well. Please be attentive to those around you and keep in mind that chip crunching and bag rustling during moving musical moments isn't very neighborly, so please plan accordingly.
Seating
Seating is actually general admission to the section you buy a ticket for. Our website doesn't reflect that well, so choose any seat and then come early to find a spot. You can bring your own blanket or chair to enjoy the show. We ask that, with the help of our ushers, audience will work together to have blankets in the front, low back beach style chairs (preferred) behind them, and high back chairs at the back of each section, in order to ensure the best viewing opportunities for everyone who attends.
Dress Code
Ha! Gotcha. No dress code. But being that it is outdoors, please be aware. Afternoons in Scotts Valley can get hot, so be prepared to bring water and wear sunscreen. If you don't do well in the sun, perhaps consider an evening show, and bring layers as a chill can set in for the evenings.
Weather
We expect to perform, light rain or shine! Unless the weather creates a safety hazard for our cast or audience (or equipment) we will continue as planned. If there happens to be light rain and you are unwilling or unable to attend, please contact us so we can accommodate you as best we can for an upcoming show.
Parking
There is ample parking at the venue with a short walk to get to the amphitheater. You should see parking attendants and signs when you arrive to help you park in our designated section of the parking lot.
