CYT Santa Cruz Summer Camp will be implementing the following policies in order to provide the most safe and healthy camp experience possible.

All campers will be required to wear a face mask, not those over the age of 12 years.
“Small groups of campers stay together all day, each day. Campers remain at least 6 feet apart and do not share objects. Outdoor activities are prioritized. All campers are from the same local geographic area” CDC Day Camp guidelines.
CYT Summer Camp is an outdoor camp
. The only buildings in use are bathrooms. All activities will take place in small groups in different areas of the campus.
Campers will be in groups no larger than 10 with one counselor and one junior counselor.
Family members will be in the same group where age appropriate.
Counselors, Artistic team and staff will monitor physical distance
between all persons, and objects such as beach towels or tape lines will be used to help campers maintain physical space.

Frequent hand-washing will take place throughout each day. Counselors will model hand-washing
. Hand- washing stations will be cleaned frequently by staff
A medical professiona
l will be on campus to monitor temperatures and assess symptoms. Any child who becomes ill during the day will be quarantined in the medic’s tent until they are picked up. No child should attend camp if they feel sick the evening before or the day of camp.
All staff will conduct a symptom self-check each day. All counselors will answer the symptom checklist
each day when they arrive at camp. All campers will be asked to complete the symptom checklist when they arrive at camp, and we expect each family to conduct the self check prior to coming to camp each day. Any staff and counselors.who have had contact with someone who has contracted coronavirus will need to be tested before coming to camp.
