What is CAMP?

CYT Santa Cruz is committed to providing safe and healthy environments for our activities. In the age of Covid 19 we take extra precautions and pay careful attention to the state and local health guidelines. At this time we are planning to hold our fun, vibrant and creative summer camps with appropriate modifications to ensure the safety of each camper and staff member.

We are pleased to announce that scholarships are available through the Kay Trust for anyone who has been furloughed or has lost a job due to Covid 19 shelter-in-place orders. Please be sure to apply, and list your job situation in the "hardships."

Week-long musical theater days camps are offered during the summer months for students ages 4-18. Camps are designed to create a hands-on theater experience, and are focused on building performance skills, self-confidence, and teamwork.

Typical camps include team competitions, rotations through drama, dance, music, and craft workshops, a daily theme-related devotional, and an impressive concluding showcase for family and friends. There’s no better place for kids to learn about theater and have fun than in CYT’s positive and encouraging atmosphere - and every camper gets the opportunity to perform on stage!

If the registration that you are interested in is full please contact the camp director, Angela.

“Small groups of campers stay together all day, each day. Campers remain at least 6 feet apart and do not share objects. Outdoor activities are prioritized. All campers are from the same local geographic area” CDC Day Camp guidelines.

CYT Summer Camp is an outdoor camp. The only buildings in use are bathrooms. All activities will take place in small groups in different areas of the campus.
Campers will be in groups no larger than 10 with one counselor and one junior counselor.
Family members will be in the same group where age appropriate.
Counselors, Artistic team and staff will monitor physical distance between all persons, and objects such as beach towels or tape lines will be used to help campers maintain physical space.
