Counselors will either lead a group of campers, alongside a JR. Counselor or will help lead a segment of the camp. 

The position of Counselor is by application, which is attached here. Applications are due June 1st. You do not need to register on the website to apply to be a counselor (you do need to register on the website to apply to be a JR. Counselor).

Key Applicant Qualifications:

• Must be 15+ but the end of the CYT Summer Session (July 21st).
• Must have been a part of CYT Santa Cruz for at least one session or must be able to provide a local reference. 

This musical theater day-camp combines practical theater experience with creativity and outdoor adventures. Counselors will work with a JR. Counselor to mentor them in leadership and lean on them for assistance through the week. Campers will be in small groups with one counselor and jr. counselor. They will rotate through a variety of activities, learning the production CYT Goes To The Movies, which will be performed on our final evening. Family and friends will be able to attend this production and each Counselor may bring 2 patrons. 

Counselors do not pay for camp.
