Welcome to CYT’s “Our Gang” program! Whether the spark for theater has already been ignited or the interest is just beginning to blossom, this class is the perfect first step into the world of performance. Together, we’ll explore the fundamentals of singing, dancing, and acting in a supportive and imaginative environment. From learning how to express big emotions on stage to moving in rhythm and using our voices with confidence, students will build a strong foundation in the performing arts.
We will use lively theater games and creative storytelling to help your child grow in self-assurance, connect with new friends, and learn what it means to shine as part of an ensemble. They’ll also get sneak peeks into other exciting aspects of performance, like audition prep and improvisation, to name a few!
While these littlest stars are still too young for the main stage production, they’ll get two chances to shine—once at the big showcase with all the other classes, and again as part of the fun pre-show before the Saturday matinee of The Little Mermaid!
