Join us behind the scenes to learn how set designers and prop masters create the magic for our shows! In this hands-on class you’ll learn painting, crafting, and prop-building techniques while working on pieces for an upcoming fall CYT production. Whether you’re an experienced maker or trying this for the first time, there’s a role for every skill level.
 
Each of our shows has a limited number of spaces and age caps to ensure the best possible experience for our students. If the show is already full, you will be placed onto a waiting list when signing up for your audition slot.  See Audition Questions for more info. 
 
Class Attendance: Conflict Policy
 
Scholarship: Don't let financial circumstances prevent you from registering for our classes. Please reach out to tamara@cytsantacruz.org if you have a financial need. We want you at CYT!
Refunds:  We know that plans change so you can request a cancellation of your class registration fee up until Friday, August 28th and you will be refunded the registration cost, minus a $30 administration fee.  No refunds will be issued once the show cast list is released.  
All refunds are returned to the original form of payment. 
Class changes are subject to availability until August 28.

Alice Letona

Alice Letona has over 20 years experience as a teacher in Santa Cruz City Schools and has been a part of the CYT community since 2018. She has worked in set construction, set painting/dressing and prop construction for various local theater organizations over the years and is excited to teach others about creating props for stage!
